Entertainment Books
Fellow Rotarians: It's Entertainment Book season just around the corner. This club fundraiser has Jim Nicol and John Mills at the bridge this year. Can we exceed last year's sales of $5300? I believe we can if all members get behind distributing the books to family, friends and neighborhood contacts - doctor, dentist, insurance broker, car mechanic, computer guy and even your postman or paper delivery person (makes a fine appreciation gift).
When the books are received in August I will ask each and every member to take 10 books. There are a hundred reasons for refusing to get behind the project - but just think that each book sold is a PolioPlus immunization of a young child. Saving ten children from Polio is no small matter which ever way you look at it. It's a PolioPlus challenge to feel good about.
