Organic Fertilizer Project 2010 Now On Facebook
Social Media network Facebook is now employed to get the message out on the Dundas Rotary Organic Fertilizer fundraiser - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=110175145688496
The Facebook event page is working - orders have resulted.
The Bagging Bee took place at Carl Loewith's farm on April 24th. A solid and willing bagging crew turned up at 9.30 am. Ellen Boyce, George and Joel Eastwood, John Attridge, Kevin Beagle, Peter Dawson, Alan Gregson, Carl Loewith, Jim Nicol and Ian Donnelly spent the next two hours filling over 200 bags.
New this year was the provision of coffee and cookies by Dan Loewith for the bagging work crew at 10.30 am. This feature was much appreciated. Since we were located at the most productive dairy farm in Brant County we were expecting a glass of cool fresh milk but coffee filled the bill just as well.
As of April 26th the orders received total 126 bags - $1,010.00. A fantastic start to the project.
The project is now in delivery mode.
The final results on the project are as follows: Sales $2,300.00. Bags distributed 285. Dated May 28, 2010.
